A bath towel is a very large towel used for drying your body after you have had a bath. Although often used for drying off after being in the water, its main purpose is to provide a surface on which to lay down.

A Bathmat is basically used to stand on while you dry yourself after getting out of the bath to stop the floor from getting wet. It can also be used as a piece of rubber that is put inside the bath or shower to prevent you sliding and falling.
